Program Description:

UCF College of Business Administration students have the opportunity to participate in an exchange program with Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (Vienna University of Economics and Business) in Austria. The exchange program allows students to receive credit for UCF Economic, Finance, General Business, & Management courses and/or electives in a non-USA setting, at a University where academic standards are high and courses are designed to achieve career results. Boasting approximately 23,000 students, Vienna University of Economics and Business is the largest business and economics university in Europe. Further, the University possesses a number of prestigious accreditations, including EQIS and AMBA.

Located in the beautiful city of Vienna, the capitol and largest city of Austria, the University stands in the metropolitan and cultural center of the Republic of Austria. With summer temperatures peaking at 30°C (86°F) and winter averages hovering around 0°C (32°F), Vienna hosts moderately warm summers and cool winters. Situated in the North Eastern region of Austria, Vienna is home to a population of over 1.9 million. Founded as early as 500 BC, the city has a depth of cultural history which can be seen in the beautiful range of architectural styles throughout the city and sheer variety of cultural influences.

Minimum Requirements

  • GPA: 3.0
  • Must be a declared business major or minor
  • Business Common Program Prerequisites complete
  • Must be in good standing (academic, conduct and financial) with UCF
  • Have attended UCF for at least two full semesters prior to the beginning of the semester abroad.
  • Must be registered full time while participating in the exchange
  • Must have at least one semester left to graduate, upon returning from your semester abroad.

You may apply online for this program (link found at the bottom of this page).  No reference is required for this program.  Please enter your own email address in the location on the application that calls for a ‘referee’ email address.

Applicants must meet with the Program Coordinator, Sandra Tabert, BA2, room 101, to discuss appropriate coursework.

All applications will be reviewed and selected applicants will be notified of how to follow up. Assessment of the applications will be based on the academic qualifications of the applicant and how well the program fits with the courses that the applicant has taken.
